The "Too Nice to Use" Syndrome – How do you get past the first page

Hey everyone, I’ve been lurking around the community for a little bit now, finally decided to stop hovering and actually post something. I’ve always been someone who collects more notebooks than I could ever reasonably fill in three lifetimes, but lately, I’ve hit a bit of a psychological wall that I’m hoping some of you might recognize.
I call it the "Too Nice to Use" syndrome. You know the feeling—you spend weeks researching the perfect paper weight, looking for something that can handle a fountain pen without ghosting, and you finally find that one notebook with the perfect linen cover and a lay-flat binding. It arrives, it looks beautiful on the desk, and then... it just sits there. I find myself terrified of ruining the aesthetic with my messy handwriting or a thought that isn't "profound" enough to deserve the archival quality of the paper.
I recently picked up a 160gsm dot grid book specifically to start a more dedicated habit of tracking my daily habits, but I’ve been staring at the first page for four days. I have this specific point of anxiety about the "first page curse." It’s like the moment the pen hits the paper, the notebook loses its perfection. I even caught myself reaching for a cheap, spiraled scratchpad to jot down a grocery list because the "good" notebook felt too formal for something as mundane as buying milk and eggs.
A small personal insight I’ve realized is that this stems from my digital habits. On a computer, everything is editable. I can delete, reformat, and "undo" my mistakes until the page looks perfect. Analog doesn't give you that safety net. A smudge of ink or a misspelled word is there forever.
I’m curious how the rest of you handle this. Do you have a specific ritual for "breaking in" a new notebook to make it feel less intimidating? I’ve heard of people intentionally scribbling on the very last page or letting their kid draw a doodle on the inside cover just to "ruin" the perfection early on.
Does anyone else struggle with feeling like their daily life isn't "worthy" of their high-end stationery, or have you managed to embrace the messiness? I’d love to hear if you guys view your notebooks as precious archives or just as tools that are meant to be used and battered.
